Masalang Aum

Masalang Mirza Umar, better known as Masalang Aum or Mirza Umar, is an Indonesian film director. He is best known for being one of the most influential Jagat Sinema Mandala Nusa's director, and the founder of Teras Sinema.

His career started in high school and college, where he made several short films — some of which premiered in local film festivals. His short film, Three-Legged Forecast (Ramalan Kaki Tiga), won the Student Award at Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival 2019. This short film impressed Nima Ashraya a lot. Nima contacted Aum to recruit him, which led to the birth of Jagat Sinema Mandala Nusa.
