Baluka is a main character in Every Stars Under The Sea and a recurring character in the series. He is the lead guitarist of Zaman Reaksi.
He has also played in many bands prior to Zaksi, including the legendary Bannwald, Layangan Rontok, and Lajang-Lajang Jalang. During Zaksi's active run Baluka is involved in several side projects, like gencatansenyata and Money Massacre. He formed EmpireroaR in the wake of Zaksi's hiatus.

Etymology
- Ismail means “heard by God”. It is the name of Abraham’s son.
- In Islam, it was Ismail instead of Ishak (Isaac) who was almost sacrificed by Abraham.
- His traditional title (and later stage name), Sutan Baluka, means “king of the shrubs”. Sutan means “king” and Baluka means “shrubs”.
- His other nickname, Gewang, is a Sundanese word for "pearl oyster".
