Arya is the protagonist of Every Stars Under The Sea and a recurring character in Dreams of Hearts and Crowds. He is the rhythm guitarist of Zaman Reaksi.
Prior to Zaksi, Arya is active in two amateur bands, Stalling Runes and Sanctity Marching. He forms the synth punk/digital hardcore band MINDCRASHER_ during Zaksi's active run. After Zaksi goes on hiatus, Arya embarks on a solo career, supported by a touring band under the monicker Arya and the Dismissal.
Appearance
Arya is unusually short, even for an Indonesian. Although minuscule in height, it has been noted that he is not lanky. Years of being active in Zaman Reaksi has given him a rather stout stature. Fans who’ve met him said he is “surprisingly strong”, with a firm and solid grip during handshake.
He has several tattoos; two on the right side of his neck and some more on his left hand. His first ever tattoo is also his most cherished—it is the tattoo of a batik, a pisang sasike motive, located near the crook of his neck. Above it is his famed IDLE YOUTH tattoo, a reference to Rimbaud’s poem, The Song of the Highest Tower. He has a full sleeve of tattoos on his left hand that goes untalked yet.
Arya had a septum piercing and right ear piercing when he was 17. He stopped wearing them since 19.
With a taste for fashion, Arya is often spotted sporting haute couture fashion, especially designs made by his brother Rambun Arsin. He is also notorious for dyeing out his hair. The Oreo black-and-white hair and the bubblegum blue hair remain as fans’ favorite.
Personality
Arya is akin to an enigma to the people around him. As noted by Irfan Ma'arif, he is very kind and sociable, but at the same time aloof and distant. It appears that Arya is selective with his surroundings. He “doesn’t have that many friends, but he’s close with everyone that he knows,” as Irfan put it.
He’s not usually very expressive. Arya holds his tongue back in many situations, only speaking his heart out to those closest to him. He has a sharp wit and sharper words to prove it; Irfan has said that, although Arya can’t fight, “he doesn’t need prowess to hurt people.”
Despite his laidback and easygoing nature, Uka noticed that Arya has an air of glum beneath him. His sullenness often goes unnoticed, in part because he isn’t close with many people to be comfortably real.

How are they friends? Nobody knows. People like Levin are usually full out of luck trying to befriend Arya, but maybe Levin is just special.

Family
A nationwide popular lawyer. Ever since he divorced Puti, Arya loathed him.
Works in ANRI. Disapproves of Arya's identity and distances herself from him after Arya came out. Arya loves her so much. She loves him too, but doesn't quite know how not to hurt him.
Closest with Arya, though Arya dislikes that he still clings to Papa.
The person who inspired Arya's first tattoo. Surrogate mother figure.
Salim's older brother. Legendary dangdut soloist. Arya calls him Sidi because that's what everyone calls him. Arya adores him, but dislikes him as well.
Comica. Was Arya's hero, but ever since Arya came out he became Arya's biggest bully, going so far to mocking him in his skits.

Arya's foil. Nima's family killed off a girl who was Salim's (Arya's father) client at the time.
Etymology
- The name Ambun means "dew". It comes from the same Minang word.
- Arya means "noble", "revered", "wise", and "charismatic". The name is of Persian origin.
Trivia
- He enjoys the aesthetic of smoking but he hates smoking himself. The only occassion where he smokes is when he's stressed out or is forced to.
- Arya does prefer expensive, hard-to-spell western cuisine usually, but he still enjoys local cuisine immensely. His favorite is kerapu saus kecap; partly because it was the one that Dika used to cook the best. He also likes nasi goreng.
- Speaks fluent English and advanced Welsh. He picks up on Spanish after dating Rey.
- A big fan of tattoos. Arya thinks tattoos are a "living art".
- Doesn't want an abundance of tattoos on himself, though.
- His favorite tattoo is the Idle Youth tat on his neck. However, the one he actually holds close the most is his batik-patterned tat, also on his neck.
- His favorite song in bilamana; is "kala mama memanggil".
- He dislikes dealing with the supernatural. Arya doesn't mind watching horror or even executing a concept that includes ghosts, but he doesn't like actually engaging with them. In parts it's because he's had one too many awful experiences, whether it's just a sighting or a full-blown attack (like santet).
- On that note, Arya is prone to getting possessed or being followed by supernatural beings (ketempelan).
- Usually Uka acts as his spiritual bodyguard, preventing him from getting ketempelan or targeted for santet attacks.
- His favorite Rama Tohpati film is Tepi Kota, a comedy-drama directed by Ratna Munita.
- Arya used to have a hamster who he named Fred, after Friedrich Engels.
- The hamster is a sensation in the fandom.
- Fred died on the road after Uka fed him chocolate.
- Fandom still holds Fred Remembrance Day.
